Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available exclusively from Time & Tide Brewing in person or via their website - www.timeandtidebrewing.co.uk Do not buy tickets from any third-party providers, and do not use links which may be posted on social media. These are e-tickets - you will not be posted any tickets, and do not need to collect tickets in advance. Just bring your email confirmation with you on the day, and ID.

How do I get to the festival?

Easily accessible from the main public transport routes such as Canterbury East and Canterbury West rain stations, and Canterbury Bus Station.

Use postcode CT1 2EH in Google Maps.

Where do I collect my tickets?

These are e-tickets so we won’t post anything to you, and there is no need to collect anything. Please bring your booking confirmation with ticket details to the event (consider taking a photo as the wifi around Canterbury can be sketchy!).

Is there parking at the venue?

There is no parking at the venue. You can choose to use one of Canterbury’s many nearby public car parks, take public transport, or walk to the venue.

If you have mobility issues and need to discuss these, please contact Canterbury Cathedral Lodge directly (+ 44 (0)1227 865350 or stay@canterburycathedrallodge.org). Parking is available for Blue Badge holders, subject to limited availability and prior arrangement.

How do I enter the festival when I get to Canterbury?

Head towards the entrance for Canterbury Cathedral in the Buttermarket, and look for the Visitor Centre entrance. Please have your ticket ready once you arrive at the Lodge for the festival. You are welcome to print your ticket confirmation out or have it on your smartphone. Please note that wifi in Canterbury can be sketchy! As you enter the Cathedral grounds, walk around to the right following the Cathedral, and the Lodge is opposite.

What is there to do at the festival?

Rising Tide is a craft beer festival so as well as plenty of beer to taste, there’ll be music and food available too. Each brewery will be pouring a selection of beers ranging from hoppy IPA’s to sours and imperial stouts, with some wild fermentation thrown in for good measure. During each of the 4 sessions, you will be able to choose what you want, and pay for it as you go using a simple voucher system. These can be purchased in advance and collected when you arrive, or you can purchase on the day.

There will be music playing in the ‘beer hall’ (the Lodge Auditorium) with additional music and seating upstairs in the Kentish Barn where you can purchase street food (with a focus on quality and local produce) and chill out. So that’s beer, music, delicious food – all under one roof!

Is it just beer?

As well as the wide range of kegged beers, there will be specially curated cider, plus a small bar offering wine, spirits, and soft drinks. It is predominantly a beer festival, but there will be alternatives, and of course free water.

How do I buy beer at the festival?

The festival will operate a voucher system for you to use to purchase beer. You can buy vouchers when you book your tickets, and then collect them when you arrive, or you can buy them when you arrive. Contactless payments are preferred.

Beers will be sold in 1/2 pint and 1/3 pint measures. Glass-rinsing facilities will be available. Any unused vouchers will not be refunded, but we will be happy to sell the vouchers in smaller (lower) amounts to enable you to minimise any risk of wastage (eg £2, £5 or other denominations!). We will also have cans to take away this year which you can use your vouchers towards.

How much will the drinks cost?

We want people to come along and drink some of the country’s best beer. We want to keep our costs as low as we can to make it accessible, whilst balancing the actual costs incurred in arranging an event such as this. Prices will start from the equivalent of £1.80 per third (£5.40 per pint).

Where can I stay?

Canterbury is popular, so we advise you to book any accommodation as soon as you book your tickets. Here is a selection of nearby hotels and B&B’s, and there is of course AirBnB.

·       Canterbury City Centre Premier Inn

·       ABode Canterbury

·       Canterbury Cathedral Lodge
